Laughing
Matters Inspirational Comedy Column |
|
Some humor columns
gently tickle your funny bone and elicit a weak smile or mild chuckle.
This isn’t one of those columns. Laughing
Matters is a syndicated monthly humor piece that grabs hold of your
funny bone and slaps it around like a WWF wrestler. Think The Far Side
meets Seinfeld.
No other column reveals the true meaning behind alien crop circles (it’s
really just their kids doing graffiti), that they’re really not that far
from here (Canada) and that they feel the same way the rest of us do about
attorneys. No other column would dare to dabble in history revision to
reveal that the Scots never achieved world dominance because they were too
busy worrying that their skirts might fly up in the heat of battle. And
nobody besides Charles is as qualified to write an article on inner-office
conflict when working by yourself.
Laughing Matters is consistently laugh-out-loud funny
and runs approximately 700 words. And because it’s syndicated and only runs
once-a-month, it’s affordable.
Here are a few samples in PDF format. Just click on the title
of the column that you want to read and the corresponding newsletter should
appear. Enjoy!

Going to
the dogs
- I'm thinking about getting a
dog and my choices are: man-dog, kitty-dog, or mutant rat dog. Maybe you
can help me decide which one to get.
Dancing with the
stars…or with Natasha and Bob, anyway
- My wife and I were inspired by
reality television and took a ballroom dance class. Maybe we should pay
more for the lessons next time.
Couch potato health
plan
- I wrote a humor piece that
appeared in the March 2007 parenting edition of Focus on the Family
Magazine. This article is in JPEG format so it would be a good idea to
print it first before reading it.
The dangers of sauntering
- Just when you thought it was
safe to go out, I reveal a new danger on the horizon. Join the rebellion
and stop this nefarious new trend before it's too late!
Starbuck White Chocolate ice cream
-
So, Starbucks went and got me
hooked on one of their ice cream favors and then had the courtesy to
discontinue it. What's a guy to do? Write a column! I actually heard
from quite a few people who visited the Starbucks Web site and requested
they start making my ice cream again. God bless 'em!
Med Depot
- Another one of my big money
ideas that is certain to take off. Here's the deal: You start the business
using my idea, make gazillions of dollars, and then write me a check.
